Overall Purpose and Objective:
Responsible for the effective development, management and penetration of assigned accounts consistent with targeted sales goals. Responsible for the management, training and effectiveness of all district staff. The position is responsible for managing the sales effort within Central and Southern New Jersey.
Increase the sales performance of assigned region through innovative and engaging processes.
Monitor sales rep Key Performance Indicators (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to determine sales opportunities and report weekly to the Director of Sales.
Develop and implement quarterly and annual sales plans for the Region to achieve company sales and profit goals.
Implement and monitor ongoing sales programs within the region.
Identify opportunities to develop the business in the region and propose action steps to Director of Sales
Develop and effectively execute comprehensive account acquisition/penetration plans and strategies
Provide leadership, coaching, and training for all regional sales staff
Conduct Performance Development Reviews for each direct report.
Provide analytic insight to regional data, issues, and opportunities, using all available company resources.
Conduct ride a longs and ride behinds in assigned region to discover sales opportunities as well as to ensure proper sales and merchandising standards are being met at each retail location.
Utilizes Sales Force Automation tool to follow up on Regional sales activities
Provides feedback on performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators to District supervisors, Sales Representatives, Director of Sales, and VP of Sales.
Develop, implement, and evaluate sales promotions within individual retail outlets.
Conducts meetings and communicates key initiatives ensuring all team members understand the direction weekly.
Develop weekly focus for region and ensure managers are keeping their teams on track.
Commitment to fieldwork 40-60% of the time.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales/marketing or related field or equivalent experience
5-7 years of related sales experience
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Possesses analytical, leadership and motivational skills.
Good driving record
Advanced Written and Verbal communication
Working knowledge of Microsoft office
